This shot is quite fantastic too, it looks like a decisive moment! The cormorant could really fit that whole thing down it's skinny neck somehow? I would imagine the formidable looking fish wouldn't be too happy here and trying to resist and escape?!

Thanks for the kind words Kyle. That fish is called a plecostomus and they can grow to enormous proportions. Spoiler alert.........the cormorant did not manage to swallow the fish. He played with it for quite some time and the abandoned the effort! :)

Amazing capture! That looks like a big fish (I must admit it has a pretty patter, do you know what kind it is?) staring down its captor's throat here! So does the cormorant really manage to win the battle and gulp that whole thing okay? Does the fish put up a good fight, if eaten does the unlucky prey get swallowed wriggling all the way down as well?!
