Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Thank you Scott! I use a 70-300mm for all my wildlife shots! Fortunately these birds allow me to get quite close to them......it's all about energy and not being too intrusive. I give them their space and they don't mind my presence! :)
